“How dare you think of stealing bread from the only cafeteria on campus. What is your name?”
“Oh, it’s Adela. Privity Pavilion’s…”
“So you’re a first year?”
With her shaking hands, Adela looked at the man in front of her. The moment she was grabbed by the hand of the man she thought was an ordinary cafeteria man, the mana surrounding her disappeared as if thrown into the middle of her universe.
“It’s so strange. I told this to the chairman several times. “Have you not read the school rules?”
“Hmph, no, that’s… !”
School rules? That booklet that boasted the size of a decent major book that you received at the entrance ceremony?
Adela opened it and recalled her page that some of her friends had shown her.

[16. Never make a fuss in the canteen.]
[17. Do not commit any criminal acts in the canteen.]
[18. If you are told that you do not have change at the canteen, answer that you understand and receive a refund from the student council.]
[19. If you hear someone screaming in the cafeteria, do not go inside and contact a faculty member.]
The school rule had over a hundred lines of similar sentences that could be considered someone’s prank.
Of course, I thought it was something insignificant and a lie.

[258. If Parenzia Academy is on the verge of destruction from an unknown external attack, all faculty and students should evacuate to the canteen and ask the owner for help.]
“You stole it knowingly…”
[If the above is violated, the Academy will not be responsible for the lives of students.]
“Do you want to die?”
Now she knew better than anyone else that those words were not lies.
