“Now, it cuts easily this way.”

The red flower, whose stem was cut off by Medea’s scissors, was placed in her hand and placed in a basket.

“Would you like to try it, Belka?”
“Even if I pick flowers, there’s no use for them.”

At the invitation that followed, the girl looked at the flower and shook her head.

“Hey, most of the people who want to break it just because it’s pretty.”
“But you’ll live longer if you stay like this.”

Usher was excited when Belka said something similar to what he had in mind. Then Medea, who saw him with narrow eyes, handed her scissors to the girl.

“If it’s a problem that you don’t need it, can you think you’re helping me and pluck it together? I pick a few flowers that bloom around this time of year and decorate the hallway.”
“…Yeah, if that’s the case.”

As if believing her words, Belka carefully held the flower that bloomed in the corner as if supporting it and cut off the stem with scissors, just as Mediah had done.

“Wow! You’re doing great! This is the right length to put in a vase.”

When he praised a trivial thing to the point of exaggeration, the girl was at a loss. Usher’s excitement subsided immediately. She was not too different from the women in the village picking flowers and playing, but he couldn’t understand why she was so confused as she just watched without interfering.

“What kind of big deal is that? Just cut it to an appropriate length and that’s it.”
“Tsk tsk, delicacy is lacking. Delicacy.”

Medea looked at him as if she was pathetic. She is obviously very pretty, but why is she getting so much heat?

“If it’s not that big of a deal, did you cut it once?”
“This is real! Belka, scissors!”

Usher took a pair of scissors from the girl and searched for a suitable flower. Because they plucked flowers that bloomed in inconspicuous places so as not to spoil their appearance. When he found a flower that was blooming inside, he cut a flower similar to the length of the flower that Medea had cut and held it out.

“Now! Is this enough?”
“The length is quite manageable.”

Look at it, it was just a really simple act that didn’t have much effort. But what she said next was different.

“But look here. If you don’t cut along the knuckles of the stem, you don’t want to see it?”
“I don’t think it makes much of a difference.”

I couldn’t figure out what the difference it made. Anyway, since it was broken, it was there anyway.

“It doesn’t really mean anything, does it?”
“What?”
“I thought you just wanted to intervene?”

As Usher looked at her speechless, Medea grinned and continued picking flowers with Belka. He sighed, wondering if there are all these kids, then asked in anxiety.

“But in a garden like this, won’t the owner of this castle get angry if you carelessly pick flowers?”

There were so many flowers that it was hard to count, and I picked only the inconspicuous ones so as not to spoil the beauty of the garden, but I was afraid that they would become pods for the man.

“You don’t have to worry about that.”

As if he was funny, Mediah smiled and looked at him.

“So the owner of this castle is my father?”
“Under?”

Usher now knew that Medea’s hair was the same color as the hair of the man at her dinner table. Even so, the reason why I was late in realizing it was because the atmosphere was so different even though it was different. The man didn’t look like he would bleed even if he was stabbed by his sword. Despite her sickly appearance, she was so full of life that she bore no resemblance except for the color of her hair.

“Aren’t they brother and sister?”

Above all, the man looked quite young. They only looked like siblings with a difference in age.

“Oh, if you do something wrong, you’ll be arrested for blasphemy, so it’s better not to say such things in front of your father?”
“Kek, disrespect.”

I expected it, but it seems that men are higher than I thought. The more that happens, the greater the anxiety. Why the hell is he interested in a girl?

“This is enough, so let’s go and decorate the flowers.”
“Oh.”

In the meantime, Mediah, who had picked all her flowers, stood up and took Belka’s hand and headed somewhere. Just for a moment, she just stared blankly at that natural behavior, like a friend she’d been with for a long time.

“Hey! Why are you taking Belka with you?!”

As her girl was being led to her, looking back at Usher as if to save her, he ran after them.

“You were too hasty this time.”

On the other hand, there were eyes watching him. The silver-haired man standing by the window glanced at the hard-nosed dwarf who was attacking him, then looked down again at the garden. The children who had already picked flowers and played had left, but the crimson-colored flowers that filled the garden still remained.

“Heath, how long has it been since Mediah smiled?”

The dwarf named Hiss didn’t say anything, but he continued talking as if he didn’t really want an answer.

“Yeah, I know. But seeing her, I couldn’t quite calm down. She felt like I was seeing her again.”

Probably his daughter too. Even the scent that wafted from his hair that resembled that sunset resembled everything he loved.

“Then why do you go out to decorate flowers?”

Belka didn’t have good stamina, and her media didn’t look particularly good, so Usher was able to easily catch up with them. He asked as he watched Medea decorate a vase placed by the window where the sun shines brightly, one by one.

“Isn’t decoration originally meant to look good?
“If you let go of Belka, I won’t follow you!”

At this point, even though she might have let go of her hand, she took Belka’s hand and walked around her castle.

“Eight! Persistent men are not popular!”
“I didn’t have to be popular!”

She was walking around the castle, arguing.

“I found it! Guys!”

Hearing a voice that seemed like he had heard it somewhere, he turned around and saw the maid from the castle he had bumped into earlier. In her hand was the mask that the girl had dropped, waiting for her to come.

“What’s going on? Isn’t it?”
“Oh, miss?”

When she belatedly discovered her Medea, she replied in surprise. Usher looked at Mediah, who had a different cold voice than before. The lively appearance he showed so far seemed like a lie.

“The kids dropped their masks, so I’m here to get them.”
“Mask?”

Medea looked at her Belka as if to confirm her words, and the girl nodded her head.

“Give me a mask. And no matter how urgent you are, don’t raise your voice in the hallway.”
“All right.”

She handed her mask to her Belka and hurried away from here before she had time to thank her.

“Why do you look at me like that?”
“No, I think it’s definitely family.”
“Obvious words.”

Usher realized that all the mischievous things she had done up until now had been rather neglected, and she thought for a moment to think about her body for a little while.

“Hey! I can’t open this door!”

He slams the closed door! Knocked and screamed.

“But you can’t just let a man into a woman’s room, right?”

This was Mediah’s room. Her words certainly made sense, but the problem was that she took Belka with her.

“Then let Belka go!”
“I hate it because you’re playing with me now.”
“Oh! Really!”

Eventually, realizing that no matter how hard he knocked, there was no way to open the door, he leaned against the door and sat down. As he pondered what he could do to get the girl out, he saw Donard approaching him.

“Mister? Did you finish eating?”
“It ended while you guys were hanging out. But why are you sitting so miserably?”
“No, listen to me!”

Usher remorsefully confessed what had happened so far.

“The lady must have missed a friend of the same age. It’s not like she’ll be around all the time, and she’ll need a friend of the same sex to play with from time to time.”
“Grunt, that’s it.”

He wanted to say something different from that, but it was too vague to put into words, so he had no choice but to understand.

“I just had something to do with you, and it just went well.”
“Yes? Why me?”
“Wouldn’t you like to train as a knight?”
“Do you train as a knight?”

Knights, as Usher knew, were soldiers who made a living by fighting. There were many monsters that attacked the country or village, and it refers to those who protect people and property from them.

“Why do you do that to me?”

Usher had no intention of becoming a knight. He didn’t like fighting very much and he wasn’t particularly attached to risking his life for his country. First of all, this is the first time.

“I’m not saying to become a knight, let’s just train.”

He wondered what this meant again. Wasn’t the fact of being trained under a knight treated as an apprentice knight in the first place?

“Well, that’s true. Just because you’ve been trained as a knight doesn’t mean you become a knight unconditionally? It doesn’t matter if you pass the exam or get a title.”

According to Donnar, there are many people who only train and do other things. It seems that most of them are converting to mercenaries mainly for money.

“If you travel and don’t know at least how to fight, it will be a big deal? You have people you need to protect.”
“Ah.”

Come to think of it, it was. He needed to learn how to fight for the sake of the girl he was going to be with. How much helplessness did he suffer from Mac, Pan, and Rogi? Recalling that fact, the decision was quick. First, I approached the door that was still firmly closed.

“Belka! I’ll pick you up later! And you! Something must happen to Belka!”

No answer came back, but since she was the same woman, she didn’t think there would be any particular problem, and she followed Donard knowing that the voice would be heard.

“It’s finally gone.”

Medea confirmed that there were no more thumping and swaying doors and voices beyond, and she sat down on the bed in the room. Belka was sitting there as she advised.

“What about Usher?”
“It looks like it’s coming to pick it up later. So, in the meantime, let’s have fun!”
“Hey, I’m sorry. I’ve never played with other kids. I don’t know what to do.”

Surprised by her girl’s confident words, Lamedia looked at her with her surprised eyes.

“Oh, then how is it in the original place?”
“Eh, sleeping. Listening to the sound of the wind or the rain. When Usher comes to visit, we talk… Maybe?”

Belka seemed to be pondering what she was doing with her life, but she only had a few things that came out of her mouth.

“Oh my God! There was no one who lived a more boring life than me. Was Belka-san also a young lady somewhere?”
“It’s not like that. It’s just that I lived alone in a place where there were no people.”
“…Wasn’t it lonely?”
“I don’t know. I’ve been alone since the beginning.”

As Medea looked into her speechless eyes, Belka tilted her head. Seeing that she didn’t even realize what she was saying, Medea struggled to come up with another topic.

“Then how did you meet Mr. Usher?”
“I remember it was seven years ago. Usher came to my place.”

The first time she ran into him, she said, she thought she had been caught.

“Caught, did you?”
“Yeah, because I vaguely knew that I shouldn’t be seen by people. At first, I was scared and kept hiding…”

I couldn’t stop him who kept coming, so I didn’t want to stop him, so I eventually got used to it.

“I didn’t want to be alone anymore.”

The girl who said that was smiling as if she had acquired all the valuable jewels in the world. She was momentarily taken aback by the sincere emotion on her girl’s face.

“Is that why you fell for it?”
“That, that’s it.”

Seeing the girl’s face blushing at her question, who barely came to her senses, Mediah felt like her cheeks were blushing too. It was easy to see that they were in an unusual relationship because they didn’t show any signs of hiding it, but their affection, which seemed to care for each other, resembled something she longed for and missed somewhere. More so.

“I’m envious as well.”

Mediah muttered in a low voice so Belka couldn’t hear. Still, she smiled brighter, half-witted at the sight of her girl staring at her, wondering if she had heard her voice, albeit vaguely.

“So you’re dating?”
“Ah.”
“How far did the progress go? Is it like that?”
“Heeep!”

The shy girl was overly candid in her response.

“Sir, could it be that already?”
“Wow.”
“How did you feel?!”
“Oh, please don’t ask me that.”

Medea was excited, holding her cheeks and asking about her experience, but unfortunately she couldn’t get the answer she wanted.
