873 – No Country for Two-Eyed – 1
A person who can serve as a messenger for the person who will become the Vice-Captain of the Royal Knights and the Prince’s father-in-law.
No matter how much you think about it, the minimum is a direct royal family member. If you were a regular knight of the Royal Knights, it wouldn’t matter, but the title of vice-captain and father-in-law of the prince is by no means light. At that level, even collateral royal families can’t be treated lightly.
‘It’s either the King or Ryutus.’
And if there are any royals who would send someone to me, the only ones are the King of Armenia and Luteus. Contact is only possible if there is some business or acquaintance. At this point, the only person who has business with me is the King, and the only person I have an acquaintance with is Luteus. To be honest, I am not particularly pleased with either of them.
I sent my wife out to spar, and we agreed to hold a celebratory sky ceremony after the wedding. I did everything I could, so why are you contacting me again?
It would be unconscionable to expect anything more from me. After all, we came here only as individuals. Even if it is a request from the King, there is no need to actively review and accept it unless you are a public official.
“Her Majesty Salia wishes to see His Excellency the Count. She has stated that her younger brother must have committed several indiscretions at the Imperial Academy, and as his older sister, she wishes to express her gratitude and apologies.”
‘huh?’
However, after much conversation, the name that came out of Villar’s mouth was neither the King nor Luteus.
Salia Robens. The first princess of the Armenian kingdom and the only older sister of Luteus. Compared to the crown prince and the second prince, she has a somewhat weaker presence, but she is known to assist the queen of Armenian and handle the affairs of the Robens royal family.
If the princes share the kingdom’s affairs, Princess Salia is the eldest sister who takes care of the royal family and family. Even though she is far from the throne, she is someone that cannot be ignored by the royal family. Perhaps, the younger siblings may be more afraid of Princess Salia right in front of them than the crown prince, whose face they hardly ever see.
‘What’s going on?’
That’s why my doubts grew even more. Princess Salia also occasionally helps with royal affairs, but her main area is internal royal affairs. A person like that would try to contact me? And bring up the school life of Rutis, who graduated years ago?
It is clearly an unusual business, but I can’t even guess. It is difficult to read Villar’s expression because he has such a firm poker face, and Villar didn’t seem to know Princess Salia’s intentions in the first place. That’s not the look of a representative who knows his superior’s intentions, but the look of a messenger who has simply come on an errand. I don’t know anything else, but I can tell that.
‘I can’t refuse.’
Anyway, after a brief moment of deliberation, I decided to accept Princess Salia’s invitation.
It’s an impossible task. Curiosity is curiosity, but from Princess Salia’s perspective, how urgent and important must it be for her to suddenly and unexpectedly ask to meet? If you think of it as owing a debt to the royal family of a foreign country, it seems like it would be okay to meet in person.
“Thanks to the generosity of Your Majesty, I too have seen a new path, so how can I receive thanks for it? Rather, I should be thanking Your Majesty and the royal family.”
First, I showed a moderate amount of humility to Villar’s words. It was a bit strange to accept it so quickly when the princess herself wanted to express her gratitude.
However, I only expressed my gratitude and did not refuse the apology. When I think back to my school days at Rutis, I think I deserve an apology. It would be the same even if it was the king, not the princess.
“Still, since Your Majesty has shown such great and profound mercy, it is only right that I see you. Please tell me that I will respond to Your Majesty’s call at any time.”
“That’s it.”
Villar hesitated for a moment at my answer,
“If Your Majesty can tell me a good time, His Majesty will come in person.”
“yes?”
This was also an unexpected remark, so I was surprised.
I sometimes forget this because of the Crown Princess who often comes to visit our house, but it is an incredible consideration, respect, and courtesy that cannot be expressed in words when the imperial family or royal family visits their subjects. Even if their nationalities are different, the meaning does not fade.
No, it is more meaningful to visit a foreign noble. Especially if that foreign country is an empire that is Armenia’s nemesis and potential enemy.
“It is truly an honor. I am afraid that I may be wasting Your Highness’s time.”
Even though I felt like I wanted to break up the meeting right now, I tried hard to suppress it.
If I cancel and something happens later, I’ll be the one who ends up dying.
The meeting was surprisingly quick for me. I said politely, “I’m a freeloader on vacation, so anytime is fine,” but I didn’t expect Villar to come back less than two hours after he left.
“Greetings to you formally, Count Tylglehen. My name is Salia Robens, the first princess of the Kingdom of Armen.”
Princess Salia gently lifted the hem of her skirt and greeted her. She looked like a typical lady, but her bright red hair strongly asserted that she was also a blood relative of Ryutis.
I’m a little scared. The only redheads I’ve seen in Armenia are Ruth and the King of Armenia. Sadly, they’re both far from normal.
‘You too…?’
I know it’s a very rude thought, but Princess Salia was already a target of caution in my mind. It’s foolish to judge many people by seeing only one, but it’s also foolish to not be on guard a third time after experiencing it twice. In the first place, the probability of Princess Salia being normal or abnormal is slightly higher in the latter case.
Of course, I don’t think Princess Salia is a madwoman on the level of Rutis. If two Rutis-like people appear in one generation, it’s a cursed bloodline.
However, the King of Armen also had a faint sense of being the biological father of Luteus. This means that the origin of the Robens royal family itself was somewhat unique, and Salia, being a Robens, could not escape that fate.
“I am Count Karl Crassius of Tailglehen, and it is an honor to meet you, Your Grace.”
“It is an honor to see a mere princess. I am even more honored to have seen the greatest swordsman on the continent.”
Princess Salia smiled slightly and turned her gaze to Fine, who also bowed politely and opened her mouth.
“My name is Fenelia Youth of Sirdi, Countess of Tailglehen.”
“I’ve heard the story about your wife. She won 17 consecutive victories against our knights? It’s hard to laugh at as an Armenian princess, but as an Armenian, I’m impressed.”
Princess Salia smiled even brighter and grabbed Fine’s hands.
He had no regrets about the results of the duel, and instead, he respected and admired the outstanding martial artist Fine. It was a strong appeal that he wanted to have a good conversation with me in a good atmosphere, so I watched the scene silently.
‘What on earth are you trying to say?’
I felt my insides burning. It was unsettling that a princess with Robens’ blood was visiting a foreign noble, and yet she was showing such a friendly attitude. It was dizzying to think that all of this was a build-up to the bomb.
“Your Majesty. First, please take a seat. Since Your Majesty has come to visit us, I have prepared some refreshments, however small they may be.”
“I’m so grateful for such hospitality, even though I suddenly visited. I appreciate your consideration, Count.”
My lips began to dry up at the direct expression of gratitude.

Facing Count Tilglehen was a huge gamble for me.
His Majesty the King, the Crown Prince, and the Earl, who has a connection to Luteus, may be different, but I have no reason to meet the Earl and I have no acquaintance with him. If I were to come into contact with the Earl, there might be crazy stories about a secret love affair that transcended national borders or something like that.
Nevertheless, I went to see the Count. It was more important to meet and talk with him than to remain silent for fear of rumors that had not yet appeared.
‘Everyone is crazy.’
Even while engaging in a formal conversation with the Count, he secretly cursed his enemies who were not present.
Everyone is crazy. It is clear that someone has gone crazy. His Majesty the King and his eldest brother are not in their right minds.
‘Cutting the sky from the sword.’
My head hurts just thinking about it. How can someone come up with such a crazy idea?
No, well, that’s right. To be honest, I feel uncomfortable with the idea of the Empire’s unmanned soldiers cutting down the skies of Armenia. However, the act of cutting down the skies itself may impress the knights of Armenia and give them the motivation to work harder.
The realm of cutting the sky with a human body. If you see a warrior who has reached that realm, you will realize that the ‘minimum’ that a human can reach is cutting the sky. Maybe in our Armenian world, we can reach a realm higher than the sky.
But it’s not a sword tomb. Even in the vast Armenian kingdom, even in the splendid Radus… why a sword tomb of all places…
‘What would our ancestors think?’
The great first king who founded Armenia and the founding fathers. The kings of the past and the famous generals who left their mark on Armenian history. The place where the swords of these people are kept is Geomyo. Geomyo is the sacred place where the collective will of all Armenians gathers.
In such a tomb, the Imperial warriors cut the sky? Depending on how you interpret this, it could be seen as ‘the Empire has completely subdued Armenia.’
“Our great ancestors would certainly be delighted. Isn’t this showing those who have lived their entire lives for the sword a realm they have never seen before?”
“That’s right. Maybe you will come to our dreams and congratulate us greatly.”
Suddenly, the words of His Majesty the King and my older brother came to mind.
I guess he’ll come to my dreams, but not to congratulate me, but to grab me by the collar or slap me in the face.
‘Isn’t it?’
I’m starting to lose faith in myself now.
Do you think our ancestors would have enjoyed seeing the sky? Am I the only one ruining the mood?
‘no.’
But the disbelief was short-lived. Just because everyone is running towards the cliff doesn’t mean that’s the right path. I’m right. I’m definitely right.
So, we have to somehow convince Count Tilglehen. Since persuading His Highness the King is a no-no, we have to get him to say something like, ‘Unavoidable circumstances have come up, so I don’t think I can cut the sky,’ or, ‘Let’s do it somewhere else.’
‘Can I… persuade her?’
But all the men with swords I’ve seen in my life have been strange in some way. Isn’t that guy the best of the best, the best swordsman on the continent? What if he’s someone who displays unimaginable eccentricities?
I’m getting anxious. If I fail to persuade Count Tylglehen, I might have to run away to the villa as soon as the wedding is over.
That way, we won’t see the sky splitting open in Geommyo.

After talking for about 20 minutes, Princess Salia brought up her business.
And as soon as I heard the story, I almost shed tears of emotion without realizing it.
‘The conscience of the times is here.’
Princess Salia, who made a request to ‘avoid cutting the sky in the tomb of the demon king,’ although she did extend it roughly and package it beautifully.
I was moved by the fact that there were normal people even in the Robbens royal family.
‘Why of all people?’
It’s just a shame that the normal person is the first princess.
How nice it would have been if she had been a crown princess instead of a princess.
