Chapter 56 – Class a Hunter Jo Ah-Young (1)
“It’s been a while. It’s only been a month since I saw you.”
“One month is a long time. Didn’t I tell you? Kang Ah-jin is my ideal type. How old must my child be if I haven’t seen my ideal type for a month?”
Jo Dong-geun said with a flirtatious expression.
Most women are overwhelmed by his aura and easily pass over anything he says.
In fact, Jo Dong-geun was using a passive skill to control the opponent’s psychology.
His mana amount was overwhelming, so he didn’t feel any pressure even if he activated dozens of passive skills at the same time.
Ajin Kang saw through it, and of course she did not fall for this trick.
Only he had a headache when he was with him.
On her side, Jo Dong-geun tries her best to seduce her, and he himself tries to resist it.
The invisible bump of mana was creating such a headache.
Still, Kang Ah-jin tried hard not to lose her mind.
If you lose your guard even for a moment, you will end up like the countless women who have been victimized by him.
Of course, the best shaman in Korea would treat him in his own way, but he was Jo Dong-geun, whom he could use and throw away like a toy whenever he got tired of it.
“I will tell you the matter first.”
Kang A-jin wanted to get out of this position quickly, so she said it quickly.
But her Jo Dong-geun didn’t seem willing to let her go easily.
“Come in. Speak slowly.”
Jo Dong-geun opened the door wide and smiled.
Kang Ah-jin was reluctant, but he couldn’t help but comply with his request.
Anyway, he was the one who came because he had a business.
Upon entering, as expected, a terrifying scene unfolded.
Naked women drooling and lying all over the place.
Bodily fluids were dripping from their genitals.
She had been beaten and had red scars all over her body.
Drugs were laid out on the table, and bottles of alcohol were rolling around.
Without any hesitation, she let herself into a room like this.
Kang Ah-jin said that she did not expect polite treatment from him, but she did, and she felt humiliated.
“Never mind.”
Jo Dong-geun said nothing and sat down on the wide sofa.
He put one arm on his armrest and said to Jin Kang.
“Sit. Would you like a drink? Or would you like to do something else?”
Anything else would mean drugs.
She knew that Jo Dong-geun enjoyed various illegal drugs.
To him, drugs were like candy.
It only made her feel better temporarily, but she suffered no physical damage.
Truly above the law.
Whatever he did, he went unpunished.
That part was the same for other S-class hunters.
Kang Ah-jin took a chair from her and put it in front of Jo Dong-geun and sat down.
“Fine.”
“Are you going to do that? Between us?”
Jo Dong-geun glanced at the seat next to him, telling him to come next to him.
But Kang Ah-jin did not respond.
Any normal person could not help but comply with Jo Dong-geun’s request, but Korea’s best sorcerer is different.
Kang A-jin thought that she was very fortunate in that way.
“Whoop whoop.”
Cho Dong-geun crossed his legs and smiled.
“I’m curious. I thought Kang Ah-jin was the type who would never ask anyone for anything. In fact, doesn’t she have the ability to solve everything herself? What the hell did she want to talk about, so she came to me?”
“It’s because of Park Hyun-joon.”
“Are you Hyunjoon?”
Cho Dong-geun was surprised and moved his eyebrows.
“Did he do anything wrong to Mr. Ajin?”
“It was not wrong with me. However, I behaved disrespectfully towards my acquaintance.”
“Are you acquaintances?”
“This is Seulbi Kim.”
“Ah~”
Jo Dong-geun nodded his head as if he was interested.
“They must have come looking for me because it’s related to S-class people. Can I hear the specifics?”
“Park Hyeon-jun likes Kim Seul-bi.”
“Well. So what? Should I even interfere in other Hunters’ love affairs?”
“Park Hyun-joon has crossed the line. Seulbi Kim tried to kidnap her friend.”
Jo Dong-geun reached out to the table and picked up a cigarette.
He lazily lit it, took a sip, and shrugged his shoulders.
“So?”
“I want you to intervene. If you leave it like this, you don’t know how far Park Hyeon-joon will go. Wouldn’t it be more difficult if you try to deal with it after someone dies?”
“I don’t understand.”
Jo Dong-geun had a really unexpected face.
“You come to me for someone else’s business, not your own. Don’t you know that I’m not such an idle person?”
Kang Ah-jin glanced back at the scene in her room.
To say that she is not free while doing this every day.
Anyway, that didn’t matter.
“Seulbi Kim has something indebted to her. So, I want to pay off the debt with this job.”
“Hmm…”
Cho Dong-geun took another sip of his cigarette and slowly exhaled the smoke into the air.
“I understand the business. If I intervene, what will Mr. Ah Jin do for me?”
His gaze turned towards the strong.
Kang Ah-jin felt goosebumps running down her spine.
However, I couldn’t express it in front of Jo Dong-geun.
“What should I do?”
Haha.”
Jo Dong-geun’s face hardened.
“Are you kidding me?”
He quietly radiated mana.
Kang Ah-jin felt his body grow cold.
She can’t possibly beat him in terms of ability.
She gritted her molars and endured the chill before speaking to him.
“I have received and helped Mr. Jo Dong-geun several times so far. Is that not enough?”
“That is already in the past. I paid the price too. Think rationally. I’m not the kind of person who takes requests from just anyone. I must get paid.”
He got up
Kang Ah-jin felt her heart tighten.
“Don’t come!”
She let out her snarl and blew her talisman.
They settled in a hexagonal shape and formed a defensive barrier.
“What are you going to do now?”
Jo Dong-geun put the cigarette he was smoking on the barrier.
And at the end, he concentrated his mana.
Then, a round hole opened in the barrier that had been solid and burned.
The barrier soon became useless, and all the amulets were burned and withered away.
“Do you hate me that much?”
Kang Ah Jin nodded her head.
Jo Dong-geun smiled and laughed as if it was absurd.
“Heh heh heh. You are a really great person, Mr. Ajin. But I enjoy hugging a woman who hates me.”
He came one step closer.
Kang A-jin bit her lip and then she brought out a taboo word that she should never say in front of Jo Dong-geun.
“Jo Ah-young!”
“Yes?”
“What would happen if Jo Ah-young found out who killed her adoptive parents?”
“What?”
Jo Dong-geun’s face turned grim.
Jo Ah-young was his younger sister.
Jo Dong-geun and Jo Ah-young were orphans and separated when they were young.
Jo Dong-geun grew up in an orphanage, and Jo Ah-young was adopted abroad early.
Jo Dong-geun, who later became an S-class hunter, wanted to get his only sister back.
However, even if he was an S-class hunter, he couldn’t take his sister away from his adoptive parents’ arms.
In the process, Jo Ah-yeong’s adoptive parents suddenly die.
She was framed as an accident, but Kang Ah-jin knew that she had Jo Dong-geun behind it.
When some reporters knew the inside story of the incident and tried to publicize it, they were requested and their memories were erased.
“What did you just say?”
“I don’t even want to say that. But you are asking too much for one simple request.”
Jo Dong-geun looked at Kang Ah-jin.
Kang Ah-jin tasted a fear she had never felt in her entire life.
It was as if her demons were glaring at her from the depths of her bones.
I feel like I’d be better off if I died.
A minute of silence felt like hours.
In the end, Jo Dong-geun reaped his mana.
Haha.”
He went back to the sofa and slumped down.
“It’s a joke, a joke. Of course, Kang Ah-jin is asking for it, so I have to listen. As Ajin said, it is not difficult.”
“…”
Kang Ah-jin felt her choked breath free.
“But remember. It’s not a lie to say that Ajin is my ideal type. I’ve always wanted to win Ajin’s heart. She is the best hunter in Korea, and the best shaman in Korea. Think about it. Aren’t they a fantastic couple? Wouldn’t someone bless us?”
“Thank you for listening. I’ll just go back.”
Kang Ah Jin raised her body.
Her strength was drained and her legs almost staggered, but she persevered.
She bowed her head once towards Jo Dong-geun and then turned her body around.
As she walked to the door, she felt a sudden chill.
She quickly hit the barrier with her spell and bounced in front of her.
Looking back, Jo Dong-geun was blocked by the barrier and grinning.
Kang A-jin ran out of the hotel room where Jo Dong-geun was staying as if he were running away without looking back at her.
