66. One by one, send them off?
Nilu’s perspective.
Since confirming that people from the Great Yīng Empire, the Rosia Empire, and even the Meri United Kingdom, including Mr. Oujili, had all “slipped out” of the Rodma Empire, Nilu had locked herself in her room for several days, leaving all matters to Claudilus to handle.
—
Because of the fear of being scolded by herself, she completely dared not seek out her fairies, who would surely think she was feeling frustrated and regretful. In reality, that was not the case. Although there was indeed some anger within her, Nilu would not waver in her purpose due to such feelings.
That night, she had many choices; she could have summoned all the fairies in the Rodmadi Empire, overwhelming that group of mice attempting to escape in both numbers and strength, but… what difference would it make?
Mr. Oqulid’s feelings would still not change, and he would remain oblivious to the fact that he was being used and deceived. Even if she destroyed the fairy Josie, he would still seek out the next fairy for that woman, and nothing would change. Therefore, letting them leave was the best decision at that time.
Everything was to ensure she could protect Mr. Oqulid, and now, Mr. Oqulid had made Clefair aware of the identities of those “traitors.” Even if she had to bear the pain of being misunderstood by Mr. Oqulid, she had to take action. It was time.
After using the contract to inform the fairies to wait at the ruins of the previous altar, Nilu’s gaze no longer hesitated as she set off. The kind and gentle master had not made a single mistake, so she had to eliminate that woman who shamelessly used the master seeks out fairies, driven by her ugly desires.
In that case, the master would surely awaken and see her love for him, right?
At the ruins of the altar, Nilu arrived and looked at the fairies who had long been waiting there, slowly speaking.
“As you all know, one of the traitors, the lightning fairy Josie, has awakened, and her true form has been used for quite some time. It was only that night that I realized: the king’s ‘prophetic’ power seems to differ from Ikusis and even ordinary prophecies in the world; it is likely… very clear and accurate.”
“So, I believe the king will definitely go to the Rosia Empire to find a way to obtain Josie for that woman. However, my identity prevents me from going, and having you act would also weaken your power due to the distance. Therefore. .. I need to renew the contract with one of you, granting her the same power and continuity as those self-disciplined traitors.”
Her gaze swept across, and Nilu finally looked at… Claudilus.
“I can support at most one fairy, so… Claudilus.”
The purple fairy was momentarily stunned, and upon realizing what Nilu meant, she immediately knelt at Nilu’s feet, disregarding the dust on the ground.
“I will bestow upon you more power, allowing you to exert your full strength even when far from me, and then… eliminate the king’s burden—that woman, as well as the traitor Josie.”
“Y-yes, yes, master! I will certainly fulfill your command!”
After expressing her gratitude with a trembling voice, Claudilus slightly raised her head.
“However, master, if you bestow your grace here directly, will the magic power here…”
Seeing that Nilu did not respond, Claudilus’s voice became even softer, “Will it… be known by those ‘others’?”
“It doesn’t matter.”
Nilu certainly understood what Claudilus was being cautious about.
This was once the “altar” she used to control all the fairies. Due to the erosion of time and the recent destruction, the altar’s function had become minimal, and it could no longer exert strong control over the “banished” fairies. Using the altar to bestow grace might even alert those “traitors.”
But… Mr. Oqulid had already learned the identities of the “traitors” for that woman. Even if she tried to hide it, those “traitors” would eventually reveal themselves. Since that was the case, she might as well not conceal it; she would let these traitors know: their former master had returned.
“If I don’t do this, I cannot stop the ‘king’ from being deceived.”
Deceived and possessed by that useless woman, stripped of his rightful position and power; having exploited his strong and wonderful power; and in the end, even needing to embellish the deception to blame her for his concern and love for Mr. Oqulid.
What an ugly and selfish human being!! Therefore, she would use all means to eliminate you, to bring back Mr. Oqulid, to welcome back the king of the Rodmadi Empire!
“Claudilus, kneel!”
“Yes…”
As she reached out, in the next moment, the purple halo of the flower crown atop Nilu’s head became even more radiant! Nilu had already experienced how dangerous it was to bestow a fairy’s “self-discipline” through the destruction of the empire and her own exile! But this time, Nilu did not hesitate at all, because…
In a distant place, Mr. Oqulid, still kept in the dark, was waiting for her rescue!
“Fulfill my wish.”
“Yes, master… this time, I will not let your enemies escape!”
In an instant, the halo scattered! Although the majority fell upon the other fairies present, the specks of light that leaked from the magical orb on the altar flew out uncontrollably, eventually splitting into several blinding meteors in the distance, plummeting towards different horizons of the sky!
“Just as I thought.”
Nilu murmured to herself. The bestowed gifts had been uncontrollably exposed to “those” fairies, which was a minor issue, but… her presence in the Rodmar Empire could no longer be concealed.
But it didn’t matter; these traits were targets she intended to eliminate one by one. Perhaps she had hesitated before, merely due to her own thoughts, but now that they had become a danger to Mr. O’Keefe, she would no longer have the slightest hesitation or mercy!
“Claudilus, you may proceed. Use whatever means necessary to eliminate my enemies there.”
“The rest of you, return with me to the Rodmar Empire. We must accelerate our control and reclamation of the Rodmar Empire, achieving absolute dominance before those ‘traitors’ realize and raise a ruckus! Then… we will eliminate them one by one! “
“For revenge; for the new Rodmar Empire; and for our ‘King.'”
The various specks of light returned to Nilu, who turned around, watching as Claudilus transformed into a purple speck of light and flew away. Then she stepped forward, returning to the Rodmar Empire palace, beside the throne prepared for Mr. O’Keefe.
