49. This Assassin Finds It Troublesome

A white-haired elf in a maid outfit was leisurely swaying alongside a green-haired elf wrapped entirely in a black cloak. This unusual hair color was not particularly strange to the elves, as the long ears of the two confirmed their identity as elves. As for their hair color, they were probably elves living in foreign lands, like those dark-skinned elves—the dark elves.
What truly puzzled the elves was the presence of the two! After all, it was late at night! Two elves were just wandering along the night road outside the city. Rather than worrying about their safety, it was more about how bizarre and dangerous their appearance was!

“Don’t mind them; our mission is to escort, not to maintain order here.”
Though puzzled, the captain still issued the correct command. The identities of these two elves would be left to the nearby elven squad to investigate, while he focused on the secret operation of escorting the human criminal, ensuring it wouldn’t be exposed.
However, just as the carriage passed by the two, and the captain let out a slight sigh of relief, the elf they had just passed suddenly… stood right in front of the carriage!?

A robbery!? Impossible; the Kingdom of Prussia had good security, and let alone these two elves dressed like this to rob, that was a question of whether they had any brains at all!

The captain was immediately startled by the oddity in the white-haired elf’s lazy tone and drew his firearm!

Just as the elves were on high alert, another green-haired elf with twin braids ran over.
