79. I’m going to fry you!
[Kfeier and Nilu choose to fight the elven saint.]
Some scripts that couldn’t ease my mind appeared, and with the scene unfolding before me, I realized: no matter how worried I was about Kfeier and Nilu’s safety, what they were about to do was something I absolutely could not interfere with or “complicate”!
Kfeier was targeting the sword saint Ludwig, who acted without a shred of logic, merely venting her power! After all, upon meeting Kfeier’s gaze, the other party displayed an unusual excitement!
“Kfeier, do you know why I’m willing to follow her, enduring the bumpy ride until my butt hurts?”
I saw Ludwig pull off the hairpin that held her hair up, letting her long white hair, seemingly drenched in cold moonlight, cascade down! Just like her lips’ lazy silence, in an instant, she transformed into a frenzy that ignored everything!
“Because… anything related to you will never feel like a hassle to me. Ah, the judgment or whatever doesn’t matter; what I really want to see is you! I want to test just how much of a place you can hold in my ‘collection’… so let me give it my all!”
In the next moment, she slammed the oversized sword she was dragging onto the ground! The weapon transformed into two massive swords filled with a magical current reminiscent of moonlight. The marks from Kfeier’s earlier destruction still remained; the blades were jagged and full of chips, but… all of this made the weapon, which an ordinary person could hardly lift, appear even more terrifying!
“Don’t let me… down!”
Dragging the great sword with both hands, Ludwig “swam” out a path of chaotic, cold moonlight at an incredible speed! Then, she leaped and spun, already above Kfeier, bringing down the twin swords as if they were blunt instruments!
“!”
Arsath’s defense barely absorbed the heavy blow, and the scattered moonlight even shot back towards Ludwig’s companion, the pure white nun Urasiru. This sword saint had completely disregarded the existence of “companions” in her mind!
Perhaps she had long accepted Ludwig’s madness; Urasiru didn’t even furrow her brow as her scythe “cut” through the streams of moonlight flying toward her. However, Nilu was not like Kfeier, who had received formal royal education and would at least retain a minimum level of etiquette; Nilu was only focused on how to resolve the death script for me.
Thus, just as Urasiru finished swinging her scythe, Nilu had already unleashed a barrage of dark arrows transformed from the dark fairy Ignis, shooting toward her in overwhelming numbers.
“Nilou…”
For some reason, the usually calm Ura Shiru was filled with a suppressed anger in her tone when facing Nilou.
But her frustration wasn’t directed at Nilou’s sneak attack; with a sweep of her scythe, she carved a crescent moon, immediately piercing through the black arrows with shining golden crosses, one after another.
What this elven nun was truly angry about was Nilou herself.
“I should have warned you, the cost of defying ‘order’ this time is not something you can escape judgment from so easily.”
“You have no right to judge me, lapdog.”
Nilou’s Ignis transformed from a longbow into a staff, the tip ablaze with flames that were clearly the manifestation of the fire fairy, Jiyas.
“You couldn’t do it before, and you certainly can’t now. I have reunited with him, and now… I can’t wait to make you all disappear at once, so he won’t have to worry about death anymore. Ura Shiru, do you think today is your day to judge us?”
In the next moment, Jiyas’s flames roared forth.
“It is I who will judge you for the ‘death’ you brought upon him!”
The roaring flames engulfed all of Ura Shiru’s cross swords! With several experiences behind her, there was no need for me to remind Nilou; she already understood clearly: she must not press too hard, leaving Ura Shiru with not a single moment of respite to unleash her dangerous domain!
Because, whether it was Ludwig or Ura Shiru, facing the current Kfir and Nilou in their ordinary states…
【Kfir defeated Ludwig!】
【Nilou defeated Ura Shiru!】
The script had already given me the answer: the two elven saints could no longer win against the two protagonists in the script! Whether it was Ludwig, who seemed to grow more excited with each strike yet was actually at a disadvantage, or Ura Shiru, who was currently exchanging magical blows with Nilou, at least for this moment, the script had clearly indicated the defeat of the two elven saints.
But… it was only “this moment.”
Even though the two protagonists had gained the upper hand, the content that had appeared in my script from the very beginning had not faded! Whether it was 【the elven saint killing Oujilid】 or 【the elven saint killing the bloodline】, the main storyline had been disrupted by these two elven saints, and even my death script still existed!
What this represented, I certainly understood!
Moreover, such dangerous content quickly left me no time to search for “loopholes” in detail! In the next moment, the two white-haired elves began to show signs of change!
After Ura Shiru swept away the last flame, she did not choose to continue summoning swords of light to shoot at Nilou; instead, taking advantage of the moment when Nilou mistakenly thought the battle would continue and chose to defend, she made a series of small jumps and retreated! Just as Nilou realized what Ludwig’s actions represented and was about to chase after him, Ludwig, who was engaged in a knife fight with Kfir, suddenly “cheerfully” abandoned the battle!
“Sigh~ Big sister is angry, Kephir, I’m really sorry. Maybe my ‘evaluation’ of you will have to wait until the next life~”
“Wait! Tsk…”
Leveraging the advantage of his weapon, Ludwig unleashed a “moonlight” towards Kephir, then dashed directly to Urasiru’s side! Now, Nilu had no choice but to halt her pursuit!
“Kephir, she’s about to use her ‘domain’!”
“!”
Of course, Kephir understood Nilu’s call, and I had already seen through the script of what was to come!
【Urasiru is preparing something!】
Preparing what? Hmph, aside from that dangerous “domain” that could temporarily strip Kephir and Nilu of all their powers, what else could it be!?
However, in the next moment, I realized just how difficult it was to execute my initial plan of “having Kephir and Nilu stop each other from using their domains.” Because… the hidden trump cards these two fairies held were far more than we had anticipated!
Ludwig directly opened up a seemingly all-consuming “interdimensional space” around him and Urasiru! And Urasiru… leaped up, soaring into the sky! The ability to “fly” was no longer a novelty to me; after all, which of the big shots around me couldn’t flit about like a bird!?
But then, the cold full moon in the sky seemed to shed a greenish moonlight, gradually illuminating Urasiru. This scene even made me feel a sense of “danger”!
“Pitiful beings who have trampled upon the will of ‘order,’ why must you continue to err, ultimately reaping the most merciless judgment bestowed by the great goddess?”
Her long scythe hung down, and countless light swords formed a pair of wings behind her, turning her back to the flowing moonlight of the full moon. At this moment, the pure white nun Urasiru resembled a nun; like a messenger of the goddess; even more like… the blade that harvests heretics.
Bathed in the torrent of moonlight, as I realized: this was Ludwig transferring the power of the “Moon Fairy” he had obtained to Urasiru, the fairy nun’s “chanting” began!
Accompanied by… a shift in the script!
【Urasiru has activated her domain!】
