Chapter 4 – Part 1 Hunter – A New Beginning, the Beginning of Charging (2)

“This can’t be… It’s ridiculous… This is a dream, a dream. Yes, this is a dream. Reality can’t be like this.”

I was muttering to someone as if to make an excuse.
A cold sweat runs down my back. My heart is on edge and my chest is tight, making it hard to breathe.

“I spent 30,000 and couldn’t pull out even one…”

Yes.
I couldn’t pull out any wearable SSR equipment even after doing 10 draws out of 11.

The SSR equipment came out. Two of them too. Considering that there is a 1% chance of getting an SSR device, it can’t be said to be such a bad result.

However, neither of these were equipment that I, an archer, could not wear. The SSRs I chose were Saint Cynthia’s Hood, a priest’s hat, and the Starlight Saber, a swordsman’s weapon.

Of course, this Starlight Saber is the very weapon that Ray also picked up. However, it may be the strongest weapon for Ray, but to me, who cannot use it, it is just a piece of scrap metal. I had to struggle with the drumming resentment.

…This is not the time to escape from reality by blaming others.
My draw failed. Even though I received many times more support than the guys who kicked me out. At this rate, I have no face to face the player who sponsored me. I have no choice but to wash my sins by biting the knife and falling face down.

“…Let’s check the achievements first.”

[Achievement: Using 5,000 Paid Rune Stones]
[You have acquired 500 Rune Stones.]

[Achievement: Use 10,000 Paid Rune Stones]
[You have acquired 1,000 Rune Stones.]

[Achievement: Obtain 10 SR Equipment]
[You have acquired 100,000 gold.]

[Achievement: Obtain 20 SR Equipment]
[You have acquired 200,000 gold.]

[Achievement: Obtain 2 SSR Equipment]
[You have acquired 100,000 gold.]

[Achievement: Summon Equipment 100 Times]
[You have acquired 100,000 gold.]

“I got back 1,500 rune stones, so should I say it’s fortunate out of misfortune? They give a lot of gold too.”

There are 2,830 runestones left in the inventory. It’s just a little bit short for 11 draws. 574,520 gold was collected.
And next to it, the yellow 115/120 sign was blinking. This yellow flashing is probably a warning light that your inventory is almost full.

The inventory has already been expanded twice during equipment summoning. The inventory space, which was originally 100 spaces, increased by 10 each time it was expanded, and now it is 120 spaces.

[Your inventory is full. Equipment cannot be summoned anymore.]
[Do you want to expand your inventory?]
[10 Rune Stones]

A pop-up window that appeared while summoning equipment with great excitement.
Inventory expansion with 10 runestones? Isn’t 10 such a big burden?

Thinking so, I pressed the OK button, and the inventory display that was 93/100 changed to 93/110. It must mean that the inventory has increased by 10 slots.

And when he clicked expand again, he requested 20 rune stones this time.
Since there are 20 rune stones, does it increase the number by 20? I clicked OK and it changed to 93/120. The amount of runestone required doubled, but it only increased by 10 squares.

And, once again, when I clicked expand, it requested 40 rune stones this time.

“Why are you doubling again!? Don’t be ridiculous!”

If you click OK this time, it will only increase by 10 spaces. And next time he will definitely ask for 80 Rune Stones, and then 160. As a rational consumer, I naturally clicked cancel.

Still, 30 Rune Stones isn’t that big of a blow… Should I consider it a necessary expense?
Yes. Let’s think so. I can’t help it even if I regret what I’ve already done.

In that way, the item inventory, which was limited to 100 slots, increased to 120 slots by consuming 30 Rune Stones.

“Now then, let’s organize the inventory right before the explosion.”

I currently have 115 items in my inventory. Among them, there are 113 pieces of equipment, and the other two are [Fairy Powder] And [Enhancement Stone].
And as for the kind of equipment I can wear,

5 types of leather armor, hat, top, bottom, gloves, and shoes.
There are three types of bows: short bow, long bow, and composite bow.
There are three types of accessories: necklaces, rings, and bracelets.
Finally, the auxiliary equipment is the quiver.

The armor I can wear is leather armor, but there are separate types for thieves and archers in the same leather armor. You can also wear thief armor, but the option doesn’t seem to fit.
A total of 22 SR grade equipment came out. And among them, there are four pieces of SR equipment that can be worn: gloves, a top, a ring, and a shortbow.

Yes, the shortbow! SR weapons are out!

“I hoped that an SSR weapon would come out, but it can’t be helped.”

Yeah… I can’t help it. You have to look far ahead with a long-term perspective.
Here are the weapon options:

[SR Parcian]
ATK+240
Skills+127
Attack speed +20%
Range -20%
Additional fire damage +66

20% attack speed and -20% range seem to be attached to all bows of the [Short bow] Type. [Longbow], On the other hand, has -20% attack speed and +20% range. It also has the highest attack power among the three types of bows.
Also, the composite bow has a +10% critical rate, and the attack speed, range, and attack power are in between the short bow and long bow.

[R Skilled Hunter’s Quiver]
Save arrows +100
Attack speed +10%

And this is the auxiliary equipment, the quiver. I don’t know what the other quiver options are, as only quivers are available like this one.

Auxiliary equipment includes things like shields, magic books, and quivers. Of course, all I can use is a quiver, and shields and magic books are trash, no matter how high-grade they are.

And then, the armor is:

[SR Shadow Archer Shade’s Gloves]
Defense +56
Finesse+22
Attack speed +5%

[SR Shadow Archer Shade’s Top]
Defense +115
Finesse+32
HP+255

[R Cowhide Bottoms]
Defense +64
Skills+18

[R cowhide shoes]
Defense +31
Finesse+10

[R cowhide hat]
Defense +44
Skills+16

The figures for defense and skill are Top = Bottom 〉 Hat 〉 Gloves = Shoes.
And by grade, there is a two-fold difference between R and SR. SR and SSR are also 2x difference. This is information confirmed from the SSR that can’t fit.

For reference, leather armor for thieves has agility instead of finesse.
Dexterity increases attack speed and evasion rate, but finesse affects the bow’s attack power, accuracy rate, range, and critical rate. For an archer, skill is probably the most important stat anyway. So, even if SR-class thief armor comes out, it would be better to wear R-class archer armor…Probably.

R-grade armor only increases defense and agility, but SR-grade armor has a unique additional option. And when you reach the SSR rank, it seems that there are three unique additional options.

Accessories,

[SR Ceylon’s Ring]
Magic Defense +55
MP+130
Nullifies an enemy’s attack once. (Charge 180 seconds)

[R Lapis Lazuli Necklace]
Magic Defense +60
MP+125

[R Lapis Lazuli Bracelet]
Magic Defense +44
MP+81

These three types.
There are some R-grade accessories that increase HP instead of MP, but I don’t know for sure, so I’m wearing the one that increases MP.
Also, a person has 2 arms and 10 fingers, but I wonder why I can only wear one bracelet or ring… But the equipment screen is displayed like that, and even if I press Equip in the inventory, I change it with the ring I was originally wearing. I couldn’t wear both at the same time.
For reference, the bracelet is on the left wrist and the ring is on the right ring finger.

Now, since the equipment to be worn like this has been roughly decided, sell them all… Before throwing them away, you must first check what you can get by disassembling R-grade equipment.

To confirm, I put an R-grade one-handed sword and pressed the disassembly button.

Galgalgal~ Tiling!

[Disassembly Result: Fairy Powder x1]

…Yes? Just finished with this?
Let’s break it down again.

Galgalgal~ Tiring!

[Disassembly Result: Fairy Powder x1]

…Anyway, R-grade equipment seems to only give you 1 fairy dust even if you disassemble it. In this case, it would be better to just sell it for gold.

If you dismantle the SR grade equipment, you get 10 Fairy Powder and 1 Enhancement Stone.
Then what if you disassemble the SSR grade equipment?
100 Fairy Powder and 10 Enhancement Stones?
Can I disassemble the SSR grade equipment in the first place?

It’s subtle… If there’s no other way to use it, it’s only right to disassemble it… But if there’s another way to use it besides disassembling…

Well…
I can’t help but worry
First of all, we decided to put all SR-grade equipment into the disintegrator and sell all R-grade equipment in gold.

Galgalgal~ Tiring!

[Disassembly Result: 180 Fairy Powder, 18 Enhancement Stones]

This resulted in 192 Fairy Powder and 19 Enhancement Stones.

“Wait. Didn’t you say you could summon a familiar by collecting 300 fairy dust? Then, wouldn’t it be possible to summon it by disassembling 8 R-grade equipment and 1 SSR equipment?”

I designated the 8 pieces of R-grade equipment that I wasn’t wearing and the Starlight Saber, an SSR-grade weapon, and put them in the disintegrator.
Honestly, just looking at this makes my stomach tingle. For my mental health, I think it would be better to get rid of it as soon as possible.

Galgalgal~ Tiring!

[Disassembly result: 108 Fairy Powder, 10 Enhancement Stones, 1 Synthetic Stone]

Oh oh! Disassembling SSR equipment really gives 100 Enhancement Stones for 100 Powder. There is also a synthetic stone. I don’t know what it is, but this must have been obtained by disassembling the SSR equipment, right?
And with this, it became clear that R-grade only gave 1 piece of powder.
Yes. Let’s sell the R rating unconditionally in the future.

[You have collected 300 fairy powder. Go to the Familiar Summon tab.]

“Ohhh. It’s coming out as expected. Summon your familiar.”

When I pressed the OK button, the [Summon Familiar] Tab appeared next to the [Summon Equipment] Tab on the interface.

There was no such thing as 11 consecutive draws on the Familiar Summon tab, it was only a 1-time summon.
Then there is no need to hesitate.
When the summon button was pressed, an egg-like egg with a strange speckled pattern appeared on the interface with a flashing effect. Are familiars born from eggs?

When I pressed the flashing [Hatching] Button, the egg cracked little by little, and voila! And a palm-sized yellow butterfly was born.

“It’s a butterfly, but it’s born from an egg…”

[R Yellow Butterflies]

MP+350
Confusion Resistance +20%

Confuse the enemy

…It seems that even familiars have ranks.
R-rated as if it were natural! What’s the matter now! Rot!

Also, because it’s R-rated, the options are somewhat subtle. Doesn’t that seem like a lot compared to the trouble of collecting 300 fairy dust?

Hmmm… Ambiguous…

Next to the inventory, the [Ministry Head] Tab has increased. If you press it, a screen appears with yellow butterflies flying around in a small ranch-like place.
The minister’s space is 1/10. It seems that you can store up to 10 of them.
When I pressed the expansion as a test, it requested 100 Rune Stones. 10 times the price of item inventory from the beginning? Pass pass pass.

[Achievement: Summon Familiar 1 time]
[You have acquired 100 Fairy Powder.]

[Achievement: Possess 1 Familiar]
[You have acquired 300 Rune Stones.]

Unexpected Familiar Achievement Bonus! Thank you!

“Ah…I see.”

I hurriedly checked my inventory.

Whoops…
There, the number of remaining rune stones was 3,130 due to the achievement bonus.
Runestones that can summon equipment 11 times more are gathered!

“Ah… Um… Ha…”

This… I have no choice but to pull this out!?
Yes.
This is bound to be a challenge!
If you step back here, you are not a man!!

Yes. It’s time to come out.
Wearable SSR equipment.
It’s time for the SSR bow!
So, aren’t the rune stones gathered just right like this?!

As if hypnotized, I moved to the Equipment Summon tab.
The shiny ‘Summon 11’ button was tempting me to press it.

Sure! Don’t press!
I pressed the summon button with a hand full of confidence.

Gorgeous effects packed into the interface.
…Where the effect disappeared, only 10 silver treasure chests and 1 gold treasure chest remained.
This time, without fail, the feast of R10 SR1.
And the SR equipment that came out was also impossible to wear.
