Chapter 13 – Rumia (1)
Carlson.
His name was Carlson. With a belly protruding like a pig. A human with a hand the size of a pot lid, a violent habit of beating women, and a very pitiful temper that ends when he wraps himself up by himself.
He was once well received as an official in the capital, but was demoted after clumsily asking for a bribe. The best thing he ever did in his life was getting married to his beautiful wife, Isabel, when he knew nothing.
It was to hold on to her so that even now she would not run away, and to hear her say that she loved her forcefully.
People called him the Man Who Wouldn’t Die Nicely or the Unlucky Bulging Pig, and half the townsfolk didn’t even know that his name was Carlson.
It was easier to describe his routine than to enumerate his flaws. Every morning he would go to the tavern or town hall for a drink and talk about his old days or brag about how pretty his wife was.
Just like a kid who happens to see a woman’s breast explains to the other children what a woman’s breast looks like, the description was vulgar and lascivious and lacked respect for his wife. After hearing the gossip about the surrounding villages, Carlson said that he had eaten well, or tapped the shoulders of local dignitaries and asked for today’s bill.
When he entered the house drunkenly, he met his obedient wife and rather beautiful maid, beat his slave Evan to the fullest, and then went to bed pleasantly whispering love.
At least Carlson believed so.
These days, Carlson’s face has been covered with skin and bones, but his life satisfaction has doubled. It was because every night when he got home, Isabel gave him great service and made his life fun.
Of course, all those fantastic moments were fantasies created by Evan, but Carlson believed that the fantasies were really his own. He thought that the reason why he was losing weight now was because his regular life had gone down due to that intense play.
Wasn’t there such a thing? Even strong men tend to become skinny when they meet a woman.
“So, yesterday was our Isabelle. He seduced me by dancing naked in front of me. She’s just saying she can’t live without my stuff. How much did you beg? I’m so tired these days that I’m going crazy.”
“Aww, that’s great. I’m really envious. My wife has a very simple seizure when I get into her bed and poke her in the side. After having three children, do you want to have another child? Even when kids grow up, they just play tangja tangja. If you hadn’t taken the second guy out of the mansion, he would have been gambling even now. On the other hand, older brother Carlson is said to be the top of the academy when he grows up to be very fluent, right?”
“Uh? Uh yeah our daughter Maybe it’s because he resembles someone, but he’s just smart. It’s worth paying for tuition. Sooner or later, a good man will come and make this father happy. Uh? You guys, so be nice to me now!”
“Aye, I understand. Now, get another drink.”
I heard a glass tipping. Carlson took enough to overflow his glass, then poured it into one gulp. Even though the aftertaste was dull, the taste of rural liquor was good.
“Oh, yes, yes.”
“No, but Brother Carlson. You’re the top at that academy, so why don’t they support scholarships or something like that?”
Carlson shook his head at those words.
“They say that noble families don’t have scholarships. Anyway, Isabel, that bitch is no help. Uh? I only had half a face. I mean, I always make things to spend money on.”
“Still, nights are great, aren’t they?”
Carlson talked to that point and suddenly smiled.
“Okay. Yes.”
He didn’t want to cross the line, so the man, who briefly flinched after the joke, tilted his head at Carlson’s smile. Carlson lowered his voice.
“Hey, it’s you. Wouldn’t you like to taste my wife?”
“Yes?”
“No, Brother Carlson. What is that…”
Carlson grinned. Originally, the local officials in the countryside were people who had a lot of money and plenty of time, so they couldn’t use it when they had a corner to spend money. Furthermore, Isabel, Carlson’s wife, was a woman whose beautiful appearance was rumored even in the village.
She needed a lot of money to procure a bribe to accompany her next letter, but with a little sacrifice she could have saved up enough.
“It is because I need the money. Like borrowing between us. Pay little by little. I’ll let you spend the night with Isabelle next week or so. If this job goes well, I can enter the capital?”
One night with the most beautiful woman in town.
Isabel was a woman worth a thousand dollars to sleep with.
A man was a man even when her cock was limp. The local dignitaries gathered here were people with dark wrinkles and beards growing on their faces, so full of desire and lust that they couldn’t help but be moved.
“No, that… !”
“Hmm… Hmm…”
Everyone was nodding their heads, but Carlson knew they would agree. Carlson believed that Isabel would also agree with her plan. Because she was such a woman. She was already a pervert who had gone mad with her own cock, a greedy woman who had been tricked into entering the city by the vanity of being an official.
“So, that… How much?”
One of the retainers said in a lower voice. As Carlson said the price in a lower voice, gasps could be heard here and there. It was a considerable amount, but it was not something that could not be afforded by force. Rather, if he could hold a noblewoman in his arms with that much money, there was no better business than this.
“Hmm… Hmm… ! First of all, let’s talk about it after the money is ready.”
“Yes. Yes. Rather than that, let’s talk about something else. I heard that a new goddess came to the temple this time. Have you ever met him?”
While everyone delused about the night in their own dreamy ways, only one true local official diverted the conversation. As soon as the story of the goddess came out, some of the retainers exclaimed and nodded their heads.
“Ah, that goddess. I saw you at the festival. Just heart… Uh… !”
“Is she such a killing woman?”
Said Carlson indifferently. He had never seen a woman prettier than Isabel. It was because most women, unlike Isabel, had at least one flaw in their appearance. She was a beautiful enough woman, except that Isabel was of no use to her life.
At Carlson’s words, one of the local dignitaries nodded violently.
“Oh, you have to see for yourself to know. It’s to the point of being similar to Carlson’s wife.”
“In addition, the sacred power is considerable, and the temple is already crowded with people trying to be healed.”
At the word divine power, Carlson snorted.
“Sacred power, why would such a great human come to this country? Aren’t they all scammers? When I was working in the capital, priests with divine power went to the capital unconditionally. There is no reason to be dispatched to the countryside like this.”
“I heard you were demoted?”
“Relegation?”
Carlson frowned. He was sensitive to the word demotion. The local official rolled his eyes in surprise when he saw Carlson’s expression, but when he saw the hand gesture telling him to continue, he nodded his head and continued the story.
“These days, in the capital, there is no management at all unless you are a relative or acquaintance of the Hero. This also affected the temple, and everyone who wasn’t from the priest faction with Hero was all sent to the provinces.”
“No, even the clergy with holy power are sent away? The world is going crazy.”
Carlson clicked his tongue. Though he was thinking of returning to the capital with a bribe, he was stern with others. The retainers nodded and talked in low voices. Most of the stories they shared were complaints about the hero who was talking about saving the world this time.
“By the way, is it true that a real hero saves the world?”
“No, there was a rumor the other day that a vampire appeared there, in the eastern region, right?”
“I’ve also heard that some demon appears and murders villagers.”
“There are many stories about whether the prophecy was wrong.”
When the prophecy story came out, Carlson nodded his head and pretended to know.
“Prophecy? Ah, the prophecy? When the demon king rises, only four chosen warriors can save the world.”
It wasn’t exactly what the prophecy was about, but the nobles all nodded. It was because they had only heard about the prophecy by hearsay.
“Yes. Yes. That prophecy. Didn’t the warriors catch the devil as they said? But, why is the world the way it is? This is it. I caught the devil Why are the demons showing up, and the capital is shit…”
Carlson was apathetic about the situation. It was because everything was someone else’s business unless he went back to the capital. Carlson wanted to avoid this bland subject. He wanted to finish the drinking party and tell Isabel about his plan.
Isabel would hate it, but with her hot technique, she would definitely allow it. If he said he didn’t like it to the end, it was enough for him to hit him a few times in a long time.
“You know what? We can drink and eat well.”
“Okay. Come on, let’s salt. Braided.”
One of the retainers raised a glass. Carlson nodded, raised his glass and tried to say a toast.
Rattle!
But the toast did not follow. It was because the door of the tavern suddenly opened and a priest dressed in white appeared. The voluptuous chest outline revealed even in the voluptuous priest’s uniform and a strict, expressionless appearance. Neatly cut short hair and cold eyes.
Everyone in the tavern knew who the priestess was. Everyone, from old government officials to tavern workers, threw a vulgar and sullen gaze and gulped.
The goddess coffin, who had been looking inside her tavern, twisting her head crookedly, slowly moved her steps and approached the table where Carlson was.
Her restrained gait and taller than expected made Carlson shrink even though he wasn’t the kind of person to be fooled anywhere. She said, looking straight into Carlson’s face.
“Carlson.”
The moment her name was called, Carlson swallowed her saliva. She really was a beauty, she thought, on par with Isabel or Elena. He inquired of her goddess coffin with a profound anticipation.
“What, what’s going on?”
“I want to go out and talk for a while.”
Hearing the words of her goddess coffin, Carlson woke up as if possessed.
