Chapter 457 – Matilda (5)
“What is it?”
My brother asked me to talk with a rare serious look on his face. I stopped and leaned against the wall and looked at her face her. Instead of her usual composure of her, a sense of desperate tension appeared on her face of her. Her brother took one look around her when I asked what was going on, then took my hand her and led me into an empty room.
As soon as I closed the door, she made sure that no one was outside and turned to me.
“So what?”
At this point, I asked the second question, what the hell is going on? My brother nodded at my question and said.
“Brother, I’ve been thinking about it. I don’t think it can go on like this.”
“What’s wrong with this?”
“Brother. Lets think. My master I married my brother, but because of me, he doesn’t come to him well. The last time I tried to explain, he just refused to listen and said he would pretend he didn’t see you. I thought about it again when my brother talked about Master today, but I don’t think it will work like this. Because of me, my brother is estranged from other family members. I want to go apologize to Master.”
“You will die then.”
I knew very well that Artie was scary when she was angry. There was no way my younger brother, who had been living with them for years, didn’t know that. I didn’t want Artie and my brother to bump into each other. The reason Artie is not angry with her brother her right now, or bringing this up in public, is because she’s my family and she knows I really care about her brother her.
In a one-sided relationship made entirely of her mercy, going to apologize wasn’t such a good idea. Because I know that, I held back my brother once again. If something goes wrong this time, one of them will die, and the one who dies will most likely be my younger brother.
“You have to. You can’t continue to live in discomfort like this. Even if I apologize again, if you don’t want to see my face, I guess I’m leaving.”
But she was very stubborn, perhaps because of who she resembles. Even if I tried to stop her, she forced herself to apologize to Artie. It was like that when her brother her was little. She was the kind of person who had to do whatever she wanted to do.
“How has nothing changed since you were little?”
Her brother laughed bashfully at that. Her smiling face couldn’t be so hateful as who she resembled. I pinched her cheek. The soft cheeks of her stretched out. Her brother her held my hand tightly as I held her on the cheek her.
“Come with me. Brother.”
“Yes bitch. Let’s go. You say you’re going to apologize, but I have to go.”
I didn’t like it. However, my brother had a blast trying to save me. Thanks to him, I survived, and thanks to him, I created her family her. Thanks to that, I was able to live happily. I live thanks to my sister, but I could n’t turn away from her sister on her way to apologize.
I nodded her head at her words and hurried to get ready to meet her artie. As soon as I came out of the room, I looked for the chamberlain. Her brother looked a little taken aback when I suddenly rushed to get things done.
“Chairman. What is the schedule for tomorrow?”
“Wait a minute brother. Tomorrow?”
“Then when were you going? I have to go right away tomorrow.”
“No, but, that… Okay.”
She was about to say something but she let out a deep sigh and nodded her head. The attendant standing next to her fluttered his notebook a few times, then nodded at her and said,
“Tomorrow morning, there will be a visit to the capital, followed by a dinner and social gathering with important officials, and a speech at the academy after that.”
“Put everything back. I have an urgent matter tomorrow, so I’ll solve it first. Do you understand?”
“Yes. All right.”
The chamberlain obeyed my order with a calm face. Seeing him coolly skipping the schedule, my brother said in a creeping voice.
“It’s okay? Really?”
“I know you’ll be screwed if I tell you what to do if you don’t come. Okay?”
“Ah Okay.”
For some reason, she asked to go, but it seemed like I was dragging her.
*****
The next morning. I stood in front of Aglio Festa’s carriage early in the morning to get this done as quickly as possible. My brother was standing in front of the carriage, his face white with the morning light. She was wearing a neat black dress, which gave the impression that she was going to a funeral home. I looked at her clothes her and said.
“You’re dressed nicely.”
“Of course. I’m going to Master.”
“Did you respect me that much?”
As I got into the wagon, I asked a slightly naughty question. My sister brushed her hair and averted my eyes.
“To be honest, at first it was just, that… It was a dragon who is a master of magic, so I approached it intentionally. A high-dimensional being like that would be able to do dimension shifting magic. But, when I met him, he was very kind and he was good to me.”
“So that’s why it was left as a burden.”
“Would it have been different if I had apologized from the beginning? Brother. What do you think about it?”
“I do not know.”
I shook my head and grabbed the lever. As I was about to pull the lever, my brother grabbed my hand and said,
“Wait a minute.”
“Hey, don’t be intimidated.”
“No, but wait a minute! Huh? Take a deep breath.”
And her brother her took her a few deep breaths, and she let out a deep sigh as she placed her hand on her chest her. And she looked at me again and said,
“Done. Let’s go.”
I pulled the lever When I closed and opened my eyes, Arus was knocking on the door with his eyes wide open in front of the carriage. The younger brother was staring at Arus through the window. She pointed to Arus and asked me.
“He is him. Brother’s daughter.”
“Uh. Our pretty daughter Is not it cute?”
“What did you say your name was?”
“Arus.”
“Right. It was Arus. That’s right.”
She nodded her head as if she had just remembered. As soon as she opened the door of her carriage, Arus stiffened at the sight of her brother her, then greeted her belly button. I ran my hand over her back as she bowed her head.
“Arus. Hi.”
Then Arus would fit into my arms and watch his younger brother with a wary eye. My younger brother smiled bitterly and distanced himself a little while Arus asked me.
“Dad. Who is that sister?”
“My aunt, my aunt.”
“Aunt?”
“Yes. I am my father’s sister.”
“Okay? Hello. Aunt. My name is Arus.”
Arus greeted ‘Aunt’ once again. Her sister her still didn’t seem to like the expression her aunt, but she smiled and nodded her head, as if she was happy with Arus’s charming greeting her.
I had just parked the wagon in the car park inside the cave. It was because Artie had specially converted a space in the cave into a parking lot for me, who came and went so often. The big door was still firmly closed today. I shouted at Artie through the door.
“Artie. I’m here.”
At my call, the door rumbled open. Artie, who had been walking with her arms outstretched from beyond her door with her bright smile on her face, was about to say hello to me, but when she saw her brother her standing next to her, her face her hardened. Arus said as she sprinted into her arms his.
“Mom! Dad brought her aunt!”
“Uh, yes. Okay. Auntie. Arus. Could you go into your room for a minute? Adults have something to talk about.”
This time, it was easy to see that the ‘adult conversation’ that Artie talked about would flow in a different way from the bodily great hall we had been doing so far. She smiled at me once more. I thought that smile was bloody.
Rattle
How can I hear the sound of Arus’s door closing, like my heart sinking like this? Artie didn’t change her expression her and she asked me.
“Lucius. I thought you would respect me as much as you love me, what are you doing?”
“Artie?”
“Why did you bring this? I’m that… Didn’t you understand because you didn’t say it yourself? Just because I wasn’t angry, do you think I forgave that?”
“Artie. Listen. I know you’re upset.”
Her brother kept her mouth shut. Artie tried to speak her words of her, but she exhaled again. She looked at me with the corners of her mouth her slightly lowered. She was waiting for me to talk. I beckoned to her brother her. Her brother her, like a chick, trotted close to me. I hugged her once and said.
“I know you felt betrayed, Artie, and I know that my brother did something wrong. But, thanks to her brother her, I got here, and thanks to her her, I met Artie. Artie wants me to reject her brother her, but I can’t. He is my younger brother, and he is the younger brother who lived for me.”
Artie was looking at me without saying a word. The anger in his eyes seemed to have subsided a little. I spoke again.
“Artie. My brother and I are from different worlds. My brother put my soul into Peta Lucius’s body. Thanks to that, you and I were able to talk like this here, and we were able to have a lovely daughter, Arus. Artie. I won’t just ask you to forgive my brother. But, but, why don’t you two talk a little bit? I just wish we could talk a little bit like that. Please. Artie. Even if you see me, just give her brother a chance.”
Artie blinked and said.
“… It’s a rather shocking story. You came from a completely different world. It’s a bit disappointing that I didn’t tell you until now.”
“I was thinking of doing it soon, but I didn’t know that I would be talking like this. Artie, that…”
“Okay. Because it’s our Lucius request. I’ll look at the attitude. Evangeline. Follow me.”
At Artie’s gesture her, my sister followed her with her shoulders drooping like a child going to be scolded by her mother her. I sat down in the living room and took a deep breath. Artie’s door closed, and a faint voice of conversation came from inside. I hoped that the two of them would somehow finish the story in a good way.
******
How much time has passed
The noise across the room died down, then grew louder again. The words grew louder and then quieted down as if in an argument.
At last the voices died down, and silence came to the room.
Did your brother die?
I couldn’t help but stare at the door with a tense face.
Rattle
The door burst open.
My brother walked out whimpering. Artie was stroking her hair with a slightly disapproving expression.
“Sigh… Black… !”
“How have you been?”
“What… It just worked out.”
Artie said that and looked at my sister with a pitiful gaze. She said, comforting my sister.
“Really, stop crying. If you’re crying like that, you can’t get angry because you think about the old days.”
