Chapter 72 – Another Hero.
“You know. So this is the holy sword?”
While we were all spending time drinking juice together, we suddenly heard Krusha’s story, so we turned our heads and saw sparkling emerald eyes looking at the holy sword.
“Do you want to touch it?”
“Yes!”
When Anis noticed the gaze and asked, Krusha quickly nodded.
“No, only heroes can use the holy sword…”
Lucia looked at that in bewilderment. As she said, the holy sword had a much simpler and well-known method of targeting people than the magic sword.
“I’m not saying I’m going to use it specifically! I’m just saying I’m just going to look at it.”
“Oh, if you put it that way, are you going to look into this too?”
“Ugh! Ah, anyway, the magic sword is a bit much.”
When Tiaran playfully showed Sword Eater, Crusha got scared and backed away. No matter how much interest she has in the famous sword, she doesn’t seem to be big enough to want to touch the magic sword.
“Yeah, it’ll be okay once in a while.”
Anise stared at the holy sword for a moment as if checking something, then nodded and laid it down so that the entire shape of the sword could be seen.
“Wow, this is the holy sword.”
Krusha began checking various places, looking at the smooth white surface of the sword that seemed to have been carved from pure white marble.
“I can’t believe I can handle such a large sword freely.”
As she looked up and down in amazement at the sword, which was much larger than her own height, she subconsciously reached out for her holy sword.
“As expected, the ricasso part doesn’t have a sharp edge… Wow?!”
“Whoa, I ended up touching it.”
Lucia unconsciously reached out her hand to the ricasso between the cross guard and the blade. At the sight of Crusha screaming, she shook her head as if she had expected it.
“Woah?! What is this? Oh, I can’t see!”
Krusha shouted, waving her hands in the air as if in confusion with her unfocused eyes.
“Don’t worry. I’ll be back soon.”
“Who else touched it?”
“Yes.”
When Tia Ran turned her head to follow Anise’s gaze, she somehow saw Lucia turning her head and looking away.
“Oh, that’s what it was.”
“What, what does that mean?!”
There may be a reason why it is a holy sword, but Anise’s sword is also a very beautiful sword when viewed objectively. It has solid performance as a weapon, but it doesn’t look strange at all even if it is decorated.
“Ugh, how long do I have to stay like this?”
Lucia answered as Crusha spoke with tears streaming down her emerald eyes, blurred by the sight that would never return.
“But Anise gave her permission. She will return. She heard that if not, she will be permanently blinded or damned.”
“Everyone has different experiences.”
“Tsk! Don’t say unnecessary things!”
She must have touched the holy sword first and had a similar experience to Krusha.
“Wow, is that really true? It’s not coming back like this, is it?”
“Even if you don’t come back, don’t worry. I’ll take you with me then.”
“Wow, Tiaran!”
Krusha seemed to have sensed her location by her voice and hugged him with joy. In that way, she sat on Tiaran’s lap.
“Would you like to come down now?”
“Huh, I don’t like it.”
After a while, Lucia seemed uncomfortable and told her to get off his lap, but Krusha refused, snorting at her.
“Would you like to eat another dried squid?”
“Hehe, feed me!”
Right now, because she couldn’t see, she was eating one of the snacks she had brought along with the juice from Tiaran.
“Tiaran is annoying!”
“I don’t really care.”
Lucia glared at him disapprovingly, but he shrugged her shoulders. It’s easy to hold as it fits comfortably in your arms, and it’s fun to feed it as it puffs out its soft cheeks as it eats whatever you give it.
“Look at that! And since I can’t see, there’s nothing I can do!”
“Ugh.”
Lucia was glaring at her, as if she couldn’t think of any other way to get her to get off her lap.
“If that’s the case, it’s strange. The holy sword has already lost its power. My vision should have returned.”
“Ugh.”
Anis stroked the face of the holy sword with her hand and then tilted her head and spoke. Krusha let out a small scream as if she had been stabbed when she realized that her vision had returned.
“Krusha? Don’t we have something to talk about?”
“Well, I don’t think there was anything in particular…”
As if Lucia had caught it, she smiled darkly, called her name, and tapped her on the shoulder. Krusha tried hard to show her innocence, but
“Can’t you come here?!”
“Ugh! I was wrong!!”
In the end, Krusha hurriedly jumped off Tiaran’s lap and ran away, with Lucia chasing after him. Tiaran looked at the girls running around her yard and asked Anis.
“Life like this isn’t bad, right?”
“Ugh.”
Tiaran patted Anise’s head as she flinched, as if she hadn’t expected that a man would talk to her like they usually do.
“I don’t know what someone said, but don’t get stressed by comparing yourself to the noblemen who lived in the past.”
“But I am a warrior.”
She quietly accepts his touch, but speaks reluctantly as if retorting.
“A warrior…”
“They say a warrior has a duty to help everyone.”
There are many people who look at the name ‘warrior’ as something to admire or look down on, but it is a very heavy name. Especially if you know what the name means in this world.
‘Cult bastards. You put a lot of pressure on the child like that.’
Although there have been very few people they liked in the past, I would have guessed that they would treat the hero whom they respected the most by doing something similar.
“What about a hero? Aren’t a hero a person?”
Anis seems to have learned how to behave by listening to stories in fairy tales and about warriors in history, but he already knew that reality would not be easy to live according to what he had learned.
“… People?”
“That’s right. If those noblemen were still alive, they would have been picky eaters, pooped, and ate rice cakes.”
The examples of several noble families were enough to prove that the warrior had made a fortune. It is said that pure white silver hair is the evidence of a warrior, but it is not uncommon for hair of the same color to appear, and a warrior’s bloodline is quite noticeable unless he or she is very old.
“Puh-huh! Ah-ha-ha!”
Anis looked at Tiaran blankly and then burst out laughing. It was his first cheerful smile.
Hehe! Ahaha! Tiaran is the first person to talk about a hero like that.”
She smiled so hard that her stomach hurt, and I nodded as I saw her wiping away tears from the corners of her eyes.
“How good does it look when you smile like that?”
“Does it look good?”
She may not have been aware of what she looked like, but she gently put the back of her hand to her face as if she was checking her expression.
“Yes, she’s much prettier.”
“Ha.”
Upon hearing his words, Anise’s face seemed to heat up, and she buried her face in his hands.
“I guess it’s not the right time for us to be like this.”
“I think so.”
“Have you all been playing?”
At some point, Lucia and Crusha, who had stopped running and were looking at us with their bewildered eyes, caught our eye and waved, and they approached.
“Did it look like playing…”
“You didn’t really mean to fight, right?”
“Wow, I feel like I lost money for no reason.”
Krusha was ticked when she saw Anise still buried her face in her hands and unable to raise her head even after they returned, but she already knew that they had stayed away out of consideration for Anise.
‘As expected, they are amazing guys. On the other hand…’
Tia Ran thought back to the party she once attended.
‘Every day was a series of tension.’
The previous party was such a mess that I wondered if it was the same party. So much so that I thought it would be better to worry about being attacked by her colleagues at night rather than the enemy.
‘We each took care of our own food.’
I heard the guys talking about how I can trust you guys to believe that something didn’t get burned in the food. In the wilderness, they were so harsh that they would cook among themselves without even knowing how to cook properly.
‘This is healing and this is the taste of raising a newbie.’
It’s not for nothing that people in places like games are crazy about newbies. After working with all kinds of crazy guys, wouldn’t it be natural for you to want a pure newbie?
Drink up the remaining juice and voila! I hit my palms together.
“Okay! Let’s go find the request.”
“Huh? Already?”
“Wait a minute! I’m not even familiar with mace yet?”
Lucia and Krusha were taken aback by his story. Well, they were planning on letting Crusha gain real-world experience by dealing with monsters once she got the hang of it. Because she only learned for a little over a day.
“It’s because our Hugu’s progress is fast.”
Of course, there was a reason why I decided to fight now. Because Crusha’s skill with her weapon was better than expected.
“Handling a weapon itself is as simple as memorizing the basic holding method and posture. What’s important is actual practice.”
If you know how to do the basics of combat, the person who fights more and longer battles will improve exponentially. Even if you just practice, it doesn’t mean your skills won’t improve.
‘Cornell? This is a guy I don’t know.’
Of course, if I only learned strange and strange things for over 10 years, it was worse than not learning at all. That’s how the guild arrived.
“Okay, cheers!”
“””””Oooh!”””””
“Huh?”
For some reason, the inside of the guild was filled with an exciting atmosphere, as if it were an event.
“Is this kind of thing normal in a guild?”
“That can’t be possible. More than that, what on earth is going on that’s making everyone do this?”
While Anis was unable to adapt to the guild’s atmosphere and blinked her eyes, Crusha spoke in confusion, and Lucia took a look inside the guild, clearing up her misunderstanding.
“Oh, Nimaka?”
“Kiya, you brought in another beautiful woman.”
“It’s okay. It’s an exciting day, let’s drink more!”
They were so excited that even those who normally had a negative view of Tiaran welcomed him, so they went straight to the guild window.
“Reina.”
“Mr. Tiaran! You’re here at the right time.”
“Why is the atmosphere here like this?”
When I spoke to her, I asked Raina, who responded as if she had been waiting, pointing behind her, and she glanced around and whispered in a low voice.
“Well… Hero joined the guild today.”
“What?!”
Lucia, who was listening to the story next to her, shouted in surprise and joined in.
“But the hero…”
Krusha also looked up at Anise, who was standing next to her. As she came out, she put on her ring, so her eye color and hair color changed, but she was definitely the hero.
“Haha, thank you. Thank you.”
Then, a young man coming down from the second floor, receiving numerous requests for handshakes from people, came into their field of vision.
‘Wow, things have become new.’
The young man’s hair was clearly white and silver.
‘This is so. I barely calmed him down.’
I glanced at Anise’s condition and saw that her blue eyes were shaking violently.
“…”
Eventually, the young man who made eye contact with them opened his golden eyes.
